FREE BEER at The Boardroom Salon for Men

BeautyNow isn’t just for the ladies! Check out BeautyNow Partner, The Boardroom Salon for Men– an upscale, corporate boardroom salon concept out of Dallas. The Boardroom recently opened a Rice Village location (2526 Rice Blvd., Houston, Texas, 77005), and a Heights location (187B Heights Blvd.) for all you Washington Ave. hipsters.
My ever-supportive husband, James, volunteered to get a haircut at the Boardroom so I could blog about it, and now he is a Boardroom convert (and books his Boardroom appointments through the BeautyNow app, of course!)
I’ve never seen such a handsome ‘Before’ shot :) |
James tried The Boardroom’s most popular service, The Benchmark ($55), which includes a haircut, looooooong scalp massage and hand massage, paraffin hand dip, and moisturizing facial with steamed towels.
How do I know that the man in your life will love The Boardroom? FREE BEER. Also a pool table and flat-screen TVs tuned to ESPN Sportscenter, and no one to change the channel to reality TV!
A private room for mani/pedis |
James got a great consultation and cut, and then the stylist took him to the shampoo room for a paraffin dip and long scalp and hand massage, and hot towel facial. It lasted like 20 minutes, and I was so jealous of his pampering! They really need a service like this at women’s salons, although I guess it would mess up your makeup.

I wish I had videotaped James’s reaction when the spa treatment was over. He said, “Wow, that was amazing, every man needs to get this. They could charge like $100 bucks for that.”
Here’s the ‘After’ at one of our fave date night spots, Sundance Cinemas Houston.
The Boardroom also offers massages, waxing/grooming, and hot lather shaves. And they can host groups like bachelor parties, which I think is a clever idea.
Tell your husband/BF to download the BeautyNow app to book his next haircut! It’s so easy, and it even automatically adds the appointment to your calendar (I got that idea from a friend’s husband who always misses his haircuts because they aren’t added to his calendar!)
xoxo,
Kathleen
