Sharing this to correct false reporting by the @nytimes and other news outlets that Camp Mystic cabins were built “less than 500 feet from the riverbank.” This is FALSE- I estimate they were about 400 yards from the riverbank. WHY DOES THIS MATTER:
-it sensationalizes this unforeseeable natural disaster and implies that Camp Mystic was negligent in some way by having the youngest campers right on the riverbank.
-More importantly- imagine you are a parent who has lost one of your daughters, and then “reputable” news outlets gaslight you into thinking you sent your daughter to some unsafe place and it could have been prevented.
Our prayers are with the families at Camp Mystic and the entire Kerrville and Hunt areas who have been affected by this terrible disaster. 💚💚 #mystic #campmystic

Devastated by the loss of our friends’ precious girls and the families still waiting. We are praying for you. I’m having trouble processing it so it’s been hard to post anything. Sharing some pics of Evie’s Camp Mystic pickup last week. Her cabin was Bubble Inn. James’s family has gone to Mystic for generations (always Tonk, always 2nd Term!) but this was my first time at this special place. What a blessing to see how Evie blossomed at Mystic. My heart just aches for everyone affected by this terrible tragedy. We have not told Evie yet. She was in the car when we got the news about the flood but then heard “everyone got rescued” when that rumor was going around, so she has no idea about what has transpired. My friend Lauren has a grief counselor who is going to have a zoom call about how to discuss this with your child and I will share that info in my Stories if that might be helpful to you. Praying for God’s mercy during this time, please Jesus save these girls. 🙏🏻

I panic-ordered the oil-free matte version of the It Cosmetics CC Cream before my beach trip bc my tube was running low. I swear by this in the heat + humidity bc it stays great with NO setting powder! I just spray that L’Oréal setting spray on top and it stays put.

☀️These were the essential makeup products I used on my Euro trip and I will continue to use throughout the hot, humid summer! I think they recently reformulated the Oil-Free Matte version of the It Cosmetics CC Cream and honestly I think it is better than ever!!

☀️Clarins Water Lip Stain- they’re all good but I like 01 (orangey) 13 (nude) and 11 (baby pink, not avail in the US!!)
