New era loading! 💁🏼‍♀️ and extension-free for the 1st time since 2013! 😬😬 Yes literally I have been wearing some form of extension straight with no breaks since 2013. Don’t ask me how long I’ve been wearing toenail polish 🫣 I actually had short hair pretty much my whole life until I discovered Hotheads tape-in extensions. I only ever wore about 4 “sandwiches”near my ears to fill out the front part where my fragile, fine hair breaks off. They were just for volume and were cut to the length of my hair. For the last 3 or so years I was doing a few K-tip extensions where I used to do the tape-in. I experimented briefly with wearing a full sew-in weave to add length but it was just too heavy and uncomfortable. Anyway I’m giving my hair a break for the summer so I went shorter so it will look thicker. I also decided I would prefer to be shorter and blonder (using a little more bleach) vs. darker and dishwater blonde that made me sad. 😆 I should probably gatekeep this but I go to Jessica at Brett Thomas in Westlake for color and Sydney for extensions (same place). Comment SERUM to get a DM with the links to the cheap serums I love! All of these are multiple repurchase products at this point. I explain how I use each one but I did start using the IOPE and the Deep Collagen one about the same time so we will never know which one is making the most difference 🫠 at least they are both affordable and my skin is looking so good now that I don’t want to discontinue either of them! Credit to @chemist.confessions for recommending the IOPE PDRN serum (comparing it to other ones) and @jillian.gottlieb for the Deep Collagen cream in serum.

Breakfast masking, Hotel Quisisana, Capri, 2024 💛 This photo just surfaced on my friend Jill’s phone and is a gentle reminder that YES YOU CAN. No one cares. The Pro-Masking Community has come so far in recent years, but we still have a long way to go. I dream of the day I run into a fellow hotel guest at the breakfast buffet in full chin strap + eye patch regalia. We exchange a knowing look, a nod of tacit approval. 👊🏻 Good work, friend.

My Ritz Carlton Turtle Bay review 🐢 For our trip in June with the boys (15 & 13) we left Waikiki and drove to the north shore of Oahu to spend a few days at the magical Turtle Bay. Totally destination-worthy and already planning on how to get back there! I would add that there is a great main pool (with water slide) if you have younger kids. They also had a live music summer series going on weekend nights that we enjoyed! Let me know if you have any questions below 👇🏻
