Product Find: RMS Living Luminizer

I was wandering around Kuhl-Linscomb the other day when I came across a new makeup line, RMS Beauty, by makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift.  The line is organic and incorporates coconut oil for its antibacterial properties and to protect skin against free radical damage.

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer

I decided to buy RMS Beauty’s best seller, Living Luminizer, which you dab on your cheekbones to highlight without any sparkle or glitter.  It is AMAZING– I don’t know how this product manages to make your cheekbones glow without shimmer or discernible color, but it really works.  It actually looks more like Vaseline on your cheekbones, but without the grease factor.

Pros:

–The creamy formula can be dabbed on your cheekbones on top of powder and other makeup without caking.  So even if you have heavy, full coverage matte foundation and powder on, you can layer this highlighter on top of cheekbones to put some “life” back into your face

–No glitter or shimmer reminiscent of Britney Spears circa 1999

Cons:

–Best used for special occasions– if I use it too many days in a row, my skin gets a little clogged and bumpy, but that goes away as soon as I take a break for a few days from the product

–Don’t put it too close to your eyes or it will make your mascara/eyeliner run and smear.

Apply the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer in a boomerang shape around your cheekbone and eye socket area, like this:

See?  Just a subtle glow, no disco ball

Here Rose-Marie Swift used RMS Luminizer on model Miranda Kerr for a benefit event:

Work those cheekbones!

Kathleen
