Blogger Fall Lip Picks!

A new lipstick is an easy, cost-effective way to spruce up your look for Fall. I’m excited to recommend my own favorite lippies for Fall, but I also realize that not everyone has the same coloring. So I polled some of my favorite blogger friends to find out their go-to shades for Fall too. I hope you enjoy my blogger roundup of the best Fall lipsticks!

Several of the bloggers I polled preferred the Nars brand for their super-intense, highly pigmented shades. Here’s Carrie Colbert of the high-end fashion blog, WEAR + WHERE + WELL. She’s wearing Nars Matte Lipstick in Scarlet Empress, and also those cult-fave Karen Walker Super Duper shades that look so amazing on all the bloggers I follow.

The beautiful Elly of Uptown With Elly Brown loves the Nars Velvet Matte Lipstick Pencils. Here she is wearing Cruella, a deep, blue-based blood red.

Coincidentally I also have Cruella in my own vast lipstick collection, so I thought I’d compare how it looks on a pale-skinned blonde. I rarely wear lip colors this dark and intense, but it’s actually a pretty striking look for a date night. I was really impressed with the quality of the Nars lip pencil–long-lasting and it faded evenly.

On the more purple side of the spectrum, Monica Abney of Classy & Fabulous is wearing Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream Lipstick in Amethyst 330. This shade is the vampiest of the crew, and Monica looks so gorgeous I can’t even!

Next up we have Valerie Dittner of Adorn Yourself Accordingly. I enjoy her creative, vintage-inspired looks, always paired with the perfect red lip. In fact, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen her NOT rocking a red lip. You go, Glen Coco. Here’s Valerie wearing Nars new-ish line of Audacious lipstick in Lana:

Lyndsey Zorich of L. Avenue blog found us a drugstore gem, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plum Velour. Not totally matte, it is very moisturizing and a pretty good dupe for MAC Rebel (that I blogged about here). I loved this lip so much on Lyndsey that I went out and bought Plum Velour for myself. Sorry to get all ‘Single White Female’ on you, Lynds.

Dark and vampy, but not too goth. Revlon Plum Velour is a perfect Fall lip!

Alex Carreno of Adored By Alex branched out with a pop of hot pink to brighten up her Fall palette. Alex is shown here wearing YSL Rouge Volupte No. 9 Caresse Pink:

Nicole Kestenbaum of Lipstick and Brunch recommends a unique rose-amethyst shade, YSL ‘Rouge Pur Couture’ Lip Color in Rose Stiletto— love this one! Ugh, I’m so tempted to go pick this one up myself too. Somebody stop me!!!

Okay, now for my pick– I’m loving Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 08 for Fall date nights! This a great deep mauve shade that I think would work on everyone– it sort of toes the line between that 90s mauve Kylie Jenner color and something a bit deeper. It definitely reads darker and moodier in real life than it does here in the photo (at least on my fair skin). This $4 lipstick is amazingly great quality as well- matte but moisturizing and fades evenly without looking dry or cakey in your lip creases. Overall, this Rimmel lipstick is a fun, easy way to update your makeup routine for Fall on the cheap.

Other makeup pictured in this photo is the It Cosmetics CC Cream Illumination in Light, Maybelline Master Hi-Light in Nude on my cheeks, and Maybelline The Super Sizer mascara.

Happy Fall, and thanks for reading my blog!

xoxo,

@beautynowapp
