Top 10 Beauty Products

I was thrilled when Great Day Houston invited me back to talk about my picks for the top 10 best beauty products ever! Houston, please tune into KHOU Channel 11 Wednesday, 8/5at 9:00 a.m., or watch it live on GreatDayHouston.com. Click HERE to watch my segment, and links to all the products are below:

CoverGirl ClumpCrusher Extensions Mascara: I declared ClumpCrusher Extensions the best mascara in my Ultimate Comparison of Top Mascaras post. I have tried about 15 more mascaras since that post, and ClumpCrusher is still tops in my book! No clumping, no wiping needed, and you can layer upon layer to build length. And it works well layered over ANY mascara, miraculously combing through clumps.

Maybelline Baby Lips: In Pink Punch (a bubblegum pink) or Cherry Me (a popsicle red color), this is a must in my beach or pool bag. It is the consistency of Chapstick, but with the perfect amount of color. No mirror needed!

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray: This setting spray uses patented technology to lower the temperature of your makeup and make it hold up all day, despite summer humidity. Oil-Free and suitable for all skin types. Skip the “De-slick” and “Chilling” versions of the setting spray– the original “All Nighter” formulation works the best!

Clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster: It’s revolutionary– instead of trying a whole new self-tanner that might break your face out, just add 3 drops of this to your normal moisturizer or sunscreen and get the perfect non-orange, non-streaky glow!

Clarisonic Mia Skin Cleansing System: I wasn’t thrilled with my Clarisonic at first because it was too harsh on my skin, but then I switched to the “Delicate” brush head and now I love it! And while it is safe for daily use, I only use it a couple of times a week for deep cleaning. It really helps slough off dry, flaky skin, get rid of clogged pores, and make your anti-aging products more effective too!

Aquaphor Healing Skin Ointment: I read that Beyonce uses Aquaphor around her eyes, and if it’s good enough for Bey, it’s good enough for me. Works wonders on eczema (anywhere, even on your eyelids!), lips, cuticles, you name it.

Clean & Clear Oil Absorbing Sheets: I’m so addicted to these that I get panicky when I run out. As we age, it is common to have combination skin– oily in the T-zone, but dryness around the eyes and cheeks. Don’t cake on more powder to combat the shine– blot it!

NYX Butter Gloss: A major favorite of the beauty blogging community, and for good reason. They are moisturizing, but with great color payoff and lots of shine. I dare you to buy one and not go back for 3 more colors! My favorites are Meringue (bubble-gum pink), Tiramisu (pinky nude), and Maple Blondie (peach).

Prtty Peaushun Tightening Body Lotion: Not a self-tanner; this body lotion gets you that perfect, glowy skin that you see on the red carpet while helping diminish the appearance of cellulite and varicose veins. It is all natural and vegan, and…get this: it repels insects! Perfect for Houston. I recommend the “Dark” shade.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow in Bad to the Bronze and Barely Branded: Great neutrals that never crease, and wear just as well as expensive eye shadows.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer: I have tried just about every concealer on the market for my dark under eye circles, and this is simply the best overall product. No creasing, super-opaque, and you can layer it over powder without it looking cakey.

Hope you enjoyed my picks and don’t forget to watch me on Great Day Houston!

xoxo,
